EARTH HOUR SOCIAL MEDIA COMPETITION: APRIL 2025
TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1. Entrants

1.1.  The Competition is open to all residents of South Africa.
1.2. Directors, members, partners, agents, consultants, tenants, or employees of WWF-SA, and their immediate family members are not eligible to enter this competition.
1.3. This competition is not open to persons under the age of 18.

2. Term

2.1. The competition opens on 1 April 2025 and closes at midnight on 3 April 2025.
2.2. The winner will be drawn on 4 April 2025

3. The Prize

3.1. The Prize consists of 4 FREE TICKETS to an outdoor cinema experience to the total value of R400.
3.2. The Prize does not include postage or delivery; winners must collect their tickets or provide an email address for digital delivery.
3.3. In the event that the Prize becomes unavailable for any reason, WWF-SA may substitute a Prize of equal or similar value. 

4. Entries

4.1. Entrants may enter on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and X (formerly Twitter) as follows:

4.1.1. Facebook / Instagram Feed / LinkedIn: LIKE this post and COMMENT with your favourite outdoor movie snack.
4.1.2. X (Twitter): RETWEET the competition post with the hashtag #EarthHour #OutdoorCinema.
4.1.3. Entrants may enter the competition multiple times but are only eligible to win once.
4.1.4. WWF-SA is not responsible for any technical issues preventing participation, including network disruptions or social media platform malfunctions.
4.1.5. By entering this competition, the entrant accepts the full terms and conditions and agrees to abide by any decisions made by WWF-SA. 

5. The Winner

5.1. The Prize will be awarded to 1 (one) entrant drawn at random (overseen by an independent auditor, accountant, attorney or advocate), and the Winner will be notified by WWF-SA via direct message on the social media platform on which they entered within 24 hours of the Prize draw. If the winner does not respond  and claim the Prize withing 24 hours, they will forfeit the prize and another winner will be selected.  
5.2.The Winner will be randomly selected and announced on 4 April 2025.
5.3. The Winner may be invited to be photographed, interviewed or  participate in WWF-SA promotional activities but has the right to decline such invitation.
5.4. The results of the competition will be verified by an independent auditor, accountant, attorney or advocate selected by WWF-SA.
5.5. The Winner accepts the Prize entirely at their own risk and indemnifies WWF-SA in respect of any claim for any accident, injury, or property damage that may occur in connection with the Prize to the fullest extent allowed by law.
5.6. The Prize is exclusively for the Winner  and is neither transferable nor exchangeable for cash or another Prize.
5.7. Where a diligent attempt to contact the Winner fails or the winner elects not to take the Prize or is unable to take the Prize for whatever reason WWF-SA reserves the right to either select another Winner or not award a Prize at all, in its sole discretion.
5.8. By submitting an entry to the competition and using WWF-SA’s websites or social media platforms to publish entries, entrants warrant that such entries are their own original work and that they are the creators and owners of any intellectual property in such work and grant to WWF-SA the perpetual, royalty-free right, except where prohibited by law to use the design, get-up and contents thereof for any purpose whatsoever.
5.9. By entering this competition, the Entrant acknowledges that their personal information will be shared with the Promoter and its agents to the extent necessary to conduct the competition and for prizes to be delivered to winners.
5.10. By entering this competition and submitting your personal information, you authorise the Promoter to process your personal information in accordance with South African data protection and customer protection laws. 
5.11. Entrants may request from WWF-SA details of their information held  and to update and / or correct their information.

6. The Promoter

6.2. WWF-SA reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of any entry and to refuse the entry of any person who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these terms and conditions or who tampers with any process in redeeming the Prize.
6.3. WWF-SA may refuse the redemption of any Prize in the event of any irregularities or fraudulent activities.
