Mondi is one of WWF South Africa’s longest-running forestry partners, having worked together on various conservation initiatives over the last 33 years.
Having started with wetland conservation and protection, the WWF-Mondi partnership has, over time, expanded its reach beyond Mondi’s borders, adopting a catalytic approach to attract more partners and funders.
The current phase of the partnership focusses primarily on freshwater stewardship at catchment level in the Southern Drakensberg Strategic Water Source Area, working on projects including rangeland management, alien vegetation clearing, land restoration and promoting good water governance and overall water stewardship.
Mondi is also a member of the WWF South Africa Business Network.
