For more than three decades, WWF South Africa and Nedbank have worked together to protect nature and support sustainable development.
This partnership began with the WWF Nedbank Green Trust in 1990. Since 2007 however, the partnership expanded and has since grown into a long-term collaboration delivering real conservation results by shifting unsustainable business practices.
Key milestones include funding WWF’s sustainable agriculture work since 2012 to promote responsible farming and land use; supporting integrated natural resource management and water stewardship in South Africa’s strategic water source areas and driving climate action and a just transition through multi-sector partnerships.
Through this partnership, we aim to shift unsustainable practices, influence value chains, and support integrated natural resource management in priority landscapes such as the Eastern Cape.
Nedbank is also a member of the WWF Business Network and the Alliance for Climate Action South Africa, reinforcing its commitment to sustainability.
