Titled “Small fry, big impact”, the WWF-SASSI Retailer/Supplier Participation Scheme 2022 report emphasises the significance of adopting responsible fishing practices and responsible seafood sourcing for the overall health of the ocean’s ecosystem.

WWF-SASSI continues to support committed seafood vendors to reach their public seafood commitments. Through the different initiatives that WWF-SASSI has in place, it is making a positive impact by ensuring that the local seafood sector is enabled and committed to transforming the seafood supply chain thereby safeguarding our marine resources and ecosystems.

The 2022 report also includes an infographic that visually shows the value of following an ecosystems approach to fisheries management, and an explanation of what this means towards protecting and enhancing marine ecosystem health, on which life and humans depend.
