Tatjana von Bormann

Acting Head of the Policy and Futures Unit

Tatjana von Bormann, Acting Head of the Policy and Futures Unit, has been at WWF-SA for 12 years, progressing from manager of food and markets to her current position. In the Policy and Futures Unit she leads a multidisciplinary team that focuses on some of the key challenges that intersect society and the environment, among them energy provision, food security and sustainable urban settlements.

Tatjana has been responsible for working towards catalysing transformational change in food-agriculture markets, building expertise in the multiple points of leverage in food system change. She has also helped to launch and oversee programmes and projects including circular economy plastics, environmental behaviour change and urban futures.

She also serves as a member of a WWF international Markets Practice leadership team focusing on markets and innovation.

Tatjana has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and English from the University of Cape Town as well as additional studies in Developmental Psychology at UNISA. Tatjana studied strategic leadership at the IMD Lausanne Switzerland and completed the University of Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership course.
