Airports Company SA

The Airports Company of South Africa (ACSA) are committed to maintaining a healthy natural environment and are funding the work of the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF). This second round of funding from ACSA will ensure that WWF continues to conserve and maintain South Africa’s terrestrial ecoregions.
ACSA’s continued support of WWF’s Living Lands programme will contribute towards conserving critical ecoregions and priority species as well as building resilient landscapes that support people.
“Not only will ACSA support critical conservation interventions, but through this partnership, WWF will work with ACSA to support the company in improving its environmental performance in its own operations and limiting its carbon footprint”, WWF Ecosystems Partnership Manager, Thérèse Brinkcate said.

BHP Billiton

This international mining company provided significant funding for the Enkangala Grasslands Project to continue the conservation and development activities that it has undertaken in the region for the past six years.
In return WWF will provide strategic support to BHP Billiton with regards to biodiversity management in core operations as well as biodiversity offsets. WWF would also like to add value to broader BHP Billiton climate mitigation strategies that may have links to Grasslands.
"At BHP Billiton SA our commitment to sustainable development is underpinned by our public commitment to key initiatives and processes that drive best practice. We continuously engage and develop programs that ensure that we play our part in enhancing biodiversity protection".
