Celebrate 50 years of conservation with WWF

In celebration of 50 years of conservation in South Africa, WWF South Africa is hosting a fundraising gala dinner in Cape Town.

The dinner will take place at the Cape Town International Convention Centre on 1 September 2018.

Using cutting edge virtual reality technology, we will share our vision of the year 2068 and take guests on a thrilling ride through the challenges and successes of our conservation journey.

Pioneering explorer Riaan Manser will recount his global adventures, and black-tie guests will be given the opportunity to bid for life-defining experiences of their own. These include accompanying WWF South Africa teams to KwaZulu-Natal for a black rhino notching expedition involving vets, trackers, rhino handlers and helicopters, and a trip to the Galapagos Islands where, led by expert guides, guests will be given the opportunity to snorkel with sea lions, swim with turtles and scout for iguanas.

The phenomenal experiences up for auction will provide our generous supporters with once-in-a-lifetime adventures.

WWF believes in the power of people and how we as a collective can positively impact the Earth to realise our vision of building an equitable and sustainable future, in which both people and nature thrive. We are taking action, and call on all to join us at the gala dinner.
