Manager: WWF Integrated Catchment Management Programme
Mao Amis has recently joined the Living Waters Unit as the Manager for the Unit’s new Integrated Catchment Management Programme. Mao joins WWF from the University of Cape Town, where he has just completed a PhD in Freshwater Conservation Planning. Some of Mao’s responsibilities include working with relevant partners to plan and implement effective freshwater conservation strategies, support capacity building in freshwater resource management and develop mechanisms for private sector and landowner involvement in integrated catchment management.
