You love nature... and cycling

We believe that it is the sights, sounds and experience of nature that makes cycling in the Cape Argus Pick n Pay Cycle Tour such a memorable experience. Think of Cape Point, Chapman’s Peak and the majestic seascape that surrounds the Cape Peninsula. This year you can cycle in celebration of this natural beauty and help the World Wide Fund for Nature continue our work of caring for nature and protecting critical ecosystems.

Ride with WWF-SA

We encourage you to join the WWF peloton and ride for nature in one of our striking new WWF ‘Panda’ cycling shirts. Show your true colours and join a committed group of environmental supporters and celebrities riding together for nature. By going the extra mile, you will raise both awareness and precious funds for our important work.

WWF works to stop and, where possible, eventually reverse environmental degradation. We work to ensure that our beautiful places and our species’ habitats are conserved, that there are on-going fresh water supplies, that fish and seafood stocks are managed, agricultural practices are sound and that we explore the use of renewable energy sources. We continue to fight for the survival of the rhino. By riding for nature you will make a difference and strengthen our efforts to inspire people to adopt a more sustainable approach to the consumption of natural resources, and to protect the animals and plants that we share our planet with.

b) Get family and friends to sponsor you by signing up as an Activist on our Online Giving platform.

We challenge you to seek assistance from family, friends or other sponsors to make your ride possible and to help you to help us to support a living planet.

This is an easy, safe and fun way to create your own activist page where you can show your commitment to conservation and sustainable living. All donations made via the payment portal to WWF go directly into our bank account. As long as your supporters use a unique reference, we’ll be able to pick up their donation and track it. Submit your commitment to conservation and sustainable living by registering as an activist on GivenGain. By creating a project to showcase your efforts and motivate your friends, colleagues, family and others to sponsor you in support of the World Wide Fund for Nature’s work in South Africa, you’ll ride with purpose.

To sign up as an Activist for us and raise funds, click here and then on the 'Create your Fundraising Page'.

For assistance with this process, please contact Candice Adams-King.

c) Even if you have already registered you can upgrade your entry to join the WWF peloton. By paying the additional fee you will be entitled to all the Panda or Panda Plus benefits.
